OSL Default Rate:
The 2009 default rates reflect the repayment status of students who were issued Ontario Student Loans in the 2007‑2008 academic year and completed or exited their studies by 2006‑2007. For purpose of calculating institutional default rates, student loan recipients/defaulters are assigned to the last institution/program they attended in 2006‑2007. The status of these loans was assessed as of July 2009 or about two years after the student was expected to begin repayment.
Graduate Employment Rate:
The 2008-2009 graduate employment rate reflects the results of surveys that were conducted six months after each of three graduating terms/semesters. Summer 2008 graduates were surveyed in March 2009, fall/winter 2008 graduates in July 2009, and spring 2009 graduates in November 2009.
Graduation Rate:
The 2009-2010 graduation rate reflects the number of students who graduated from their program of study during the summer 2008, fall 2008 and winter 2009 term. Students are given a completion time frame equal approximately to 200% of the normal program duration. A student who graduates after the allowed completion time frame, is not counted as a graduate for the purpose of the graduation rate calculation.
