Cambrian College was the venue for a forum, Urban Aboriginal Youth Leading the Way: A Process for Mentoring Aboriginal Youth, on March 6 and 7, 2007, which was jointly hosted by the Union of Ontario Indians, Cambrian's Wabnode Institute, and the College's Student Services and Strategic Initiatives department.  The two-day forum provided participants with information and guidance with respect to mentoring youth and empowerment as well as information about starting youth councils within their home communities. The forum also featured opening remarks by Deputy Grand Council Chief Glen Hare.
