On May 24, approximately 120 grade seven and eight students from area elementary schools participated in Technology Day at the College’s Barrydowne campus. Hosted by the College’s School of Computer and Engineering Technology, the event featured a number of technology-related labs and workshops that enabled students to explore areas of interest and to obtain hands-on exposure to the College’s technology programs. The hands-on workshops, which were organized and led by Cambrian faculty, featured career areas that included Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Systems Technology, Software Engineering Technology, and Health Information Management.
Technology Day is part of the provincial School/College/Work Initiative that partners Cambrian College with the four local school boards.
