Feature
February 2007

On February 1, 2007, representatives from CVRD Inco's Sudbury and Thompson operations were at Cambrian College to provide information about the company and to discuss summer and full-time employment opportunities with students in Cambrian's Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering and Pre-Trades/Technology programs.

Tracy Cardinal, CVRD Inco’s new Mines Technologist Training Program Project Leader also talked to the students about this new initiative, which will provide formal training opportunities to develop technical skills and competencies - competencies that will enable technologists to take on more senior roles in the company. Tracy is a graduate of the Cambrian’s Mining Engineering Technician program.

"It is an encouraging and optimistic time to get into the mining industry. There are lots of opportunities for graduates."Tracy Cardinal
