Two of Cambrian Colleges graphic design students were recognized for their talents by the Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario (RGDON), the professional body for graphic designers in Ontario. Through its annual Student Awards Program, RCDON honoured graphic design student Julien Chaput with both the q30 Design Award for Corporate Identity/Logo Design and the 50 Carleton Award of Excellence for Northern Ontario. Graphic design student Kevin Montgomery received honourable mention in the 50 Carleton Award of Excellence category.

Cambrian College has the distinction of being one of only two Colleges in Ontario to receive student awards in multiple categories.
