Cambrian College's two-year Powerline Technician program will reach new heights with a generous donation of a double bucket truck from a company based in southern Ontario.
Enersource Hydro Mississauga donated the 55-foot utility vehicle, commonly used in the industry to work on live power lines, to Cambrian on June 12, 2008.
Enersource's contribution will enable Cambrian's faculty to enrich the delivery of the curriculum and provide hands-on training opportunities for Powerline Technician students, enhancing their employability in the electrical utility sector in Ontario and beyond.
“Support from companies such as Enersource helps maintain Cambrian College's status as the leader in Co-op Diploma Apprenticeship training in Ontario,” said Michel Barbeau, Dean, School of Skills Training/Sky Tech.
