Ryan Rows and Kathryn Bobbie, members of Cambrian's Golden Shield varsity badminton team, brought home a bronze medal to Cambrian College in the mixed doubles category at the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) badminton championships, which was held at Mount Royal College on March 4.
Badminton Coach Harish Aginhotri led Ryan and Kathryn to a gold medal at the Ontario College Athletic Association (OCAA) championship and a bronze medal at the CCAA championship. “Cambrian is continuing its tradition of having a strong presence at the provincial and national championships,” said Robert Piche, Athletic Director. “Ryan and Kathryn played the best players in the country and were successful at this level of competition. Cambrian is very proud of their success.”
Ryan is a graduating student in Cambrian's Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and Kathryn is a first-year student in the College's Paramedic program.
