Cambrian's top athletes were honoured at the annual Golden Shield Athletics Banquet, which was held in the College's Student Centre on March 28, 2008. Jody Carruthers and Kristin Martel were both honoured as Female Athlete of the Year, while Mitch Mallette and Ben Cambridge were co-recipients of the Male Athlete of the Year award. Volleyball coach Stephen Beausoleil received the Coach of the Year Award.

The Vern Dow Memorial Bursary went to Curtis Bell, the Cambrian Athletics Association President. The team awards for most valuable player were given to Josh Bujold, cross country running; Jody Carruthers and Heather Schultz, badminton; Lee Martin, women's soccer; Pat Whissell, men's soccer; Ben Cambridge, men's volleyball; Kristin Martel, women's volleyball; Mitch Mallette, men's basketball; and Jordan Shellby, women's fastball.

Cambrian's 38 OCAA All-Academic athletes and six CCAA Academic All Canadian athletes were also recognized at the event.
