Students and faculty in Cambrian College's Graphic Design program participated in a tree-planting event on Saturday, September 15 as part of the program's commitment to reduce its carbon footprint.
The event, which was supported by CVRD Inco and the Nickel District Conservation Authority, is one of the Uncommon Sense initiatives that were developed by students and faculty in the College's Graphic Design program. These initiatives are part of the program's move toward a more environmentally-friendly way of doing things to help reduce their carbon footprint.
Other initiatives that are being undertaken within the program include changes in the way the program is delivered and consist of technology changes, curriculum delivery changes and changes to the curriculum itself.
