Cambrian College hosted its annual Fall Open House on Saturday, November 15, from 12 to 3 p.m. Approximately 400 students, parents, and visitors came from various parts of the province to experience all that Cambrian has to offer. Participants were able to find out about Cambrian's full-time and part-time programs, the services available to students, and about student life at the college. Visitors were also able to tour the campus and residence, and go on a bus tour of the City of Greater Sudbury.
The Transom family has been coming to Cambrian's Open House for 10 years. Mom Heidi Transom says two of her children, Lloyd and Lorrie, are graduates of the College, and her son, Dale, is planning to enrol in the General Carpentry program. (Lorrie graduated from the Early Childhood Education program in 2005 and Lloyd graduated from the Software Engineering Technology program in 2008). “I come to the Open House every year to support my children and to help them make their college choices,” said Heidi. “I think Cambrian is the best college, because you know that you are going to get a job when you graduate.”
