On Tuesday, May 8, 2007, Cambrian College hosted Exploring Careers in Health Sciences, a day-long event that enabled students in grades 9 and 10 to participate in a series of workshops designed to expose them to careers in Health Sciences and to promote postsecondary pathways to those careers.

About 45 students from Lockerby Composite School, Lasalle Secondary School, and Manitoulin Secondary School participated in a workshop on Dental Hygiene where they made models of teeth; they attended Medical Radiation Technology and Physical Fitness and Leisure Management program information sessions; and they visited the College's Nursing Simulation lab.
