On April 26, Cambrian College hosted a visit by Chilean officials from the government, business, and education sectors who were visiting Sudbury as part of a business technological mission to Canada. College officials provided the delegates with information about Cambrian College's mining and related programs and its facilities and discussed possible trade/education collaborations. The delegates two-day visit to Sudbury also included a meeting with local mining and business representatives and a presentation by the Sudbury Area Mining Supply and Service Association (SAMSSA ).

Chilean delegates included government and education officials, representatives from the Antofagasta Region Mining Cluster, managers of mining companies, and business professionals. Joining the delegation at Cambrian were representatives from the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines, including Deputy Minister Suzanne Herbert.
