Civil Engineering graduate Cindy Thornton is the 2007 recipient of the Carole and George Fletcher Foundation Award, which is sponsored by the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT). The award consists of a $350 scholarship and a Certificate of Recognition.

The award was presented to Thornton on May 25, 2007, by Andy Dryland, Chair of OACETT, Sudbury Chapter and C.E.T. Associate with the engineering firm Dennis Consultants, a division of RV Anderson Associates Limited.
