On April 30, Cambrian College was the venue for a progress report on Ontario's Northern Prosperity Plan, which was released via video conference broadcast from the College's eDome. Rick Bartolucci, Sudbury MPP and Minister of Northern Development and Mines, delivered the progress report and Cambrian President Sylvia Barnard emceed the conference, which also included speakers from community, business and education in North Bay, Sioux Lookout, Sault Ste-Marie, South Porcupine, and Thunder Bay.

 

The Northern Prosperity Plan detailed government programs and initiatives to support Northern economic development and the province's mineral sector. Cambrian's eDome connected  participants from Northern Ontario communities to the conference and enabled them to highlight the successes their provincially-funded initiatives.
