Cambrian College Music professor Philip Candelaria recently performed in New York City with the Canadian Guitar Quartet as part of the 92nd Street Y’s "Art of the Guitar Series." On December 8, 2007, the Quartet made their New York City debut, after which they received three standing ovations. Philip called the occasion, "One of the finest moments of my performing career."

While in New York, Philip also had the opportunity to teach a class at the 92nd Street Y the day after the concert. The class included students from Yale University’s guitar program, a high school student selected to participate in the class, and one of the guitar instructors from the Y»s community music program.
