Cambrian Student Comes in Second in Provincial Writing Contest

Cambrian student Dan John, who is entering his second-year in the Mining Engineering Technician program, is a second place winner in the 2007 College Association for Language and Literacy (C.A.L.L.) student writing contest in the Business Writing category. John's winning entry is based on his memo report, Mill Hazards.

C.A.L.L's annual writing contest is open to community college students who are studying in full-time programs. The contest winners receive a cash reward and have their pieces published on the C.A.L.L. website at www.callmagazine.com. The College Association for Language and Literacy (C.A.L.L.) is an association of teachers of English or literacy programs at a community college level. Their mandate is to advance literacy, language, and general education of the public through the college system in Ontario.
