On Thursday, May 10, 2007, Cambrian College hosted Girls in Trades, an event that enabled female students in grades 9 and 10 to participate in a series of hands-on workshops designed to introduce them to the opportunities that an education in trades offers them.

The 29 students from Chelmsford Valley Composite School, Lively District Secondary School, and College Notre Dame participated in presentations on the Automotive, Millwright, Machining, Heavy Duty Equipment, Welding, and Power Engineering fields.
