Students, staff, and faculty in the School of Justice, Access and Community Services participated in Shave for the Record on April 8, 2006, an event that raised money for cancer research, the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, and the Greater Sudbury Police Youth Initiative Fund. The students exceeded their fund-raising goal and were able to raise $5,000, largely due to the generosity of the Cambrian College community.

Participants who had their heads shaved also helped to break two Guinness World Records - most heads shaved in four hours and most heads shaved for one event.
