On Friday, July 21, 2006, Cambrian College hosted Countdown to Cambrian, a one-day orientation session for first-year students and their parents/companions. Participants had the opportunity to attend a variety of workshops, tour the campus and residences, meet with staff, and learn about college life.
“I felt the day was well organized. Everyone was friendly and I now feel more comfortable about coming to Cambrian this fall,” commented Michelle Campbell of Cobden, Ontario, who is enrolled in Cambrian’s two-year Dental Hygiene program.
Andrew Cashmore, of Niagara Falls, Ontario, who is enrolled in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technician program, said, “It’s great to be in the north, and I can’t wait to come back in the fall!”
Over 800 people from all across the province attended Cambrian’s fourth Countdown to Cambrian event. Participants from communities that included Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville, Niagra Falls, Cobden, Manitoulin Island, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, and Timmins got to know Cambrian a little better and prepared for their first-year of studies.
