Students from local secondary schools who participated in a dual credit program during the
2007-08 academic year, celebrated their success at an event that was hosted by Cambrian College on June 18.
The Dual Credit program provides secondary school students with an opportunity to earn a number of credits by participating in apprenticeship training and postsecondary courses that count towards both their secondary school diploma and their postsecondary diploma or apprenticeship certification.
This year, students had the opportunity to participate in the following programs: automotive technician service and management - career exploration, exploring business, apprenticeship plus, personal support worker, introduction to mining, energy systems technology, and precision measuring.
