On December 12, Cambrian’s College’s Carpentry General program received flooring systems from Alpha Floor Systems Inc. and Garden River Truss Co., two companies that specialize in pre-engineered construction products for the building industry. Marc Levasseur, manager of the Sudbury sales office for Garden River Truss Co. and Robb Vaudrie, sales manager for Alpha Floor Systems Inc. and the Chair of the College’s Carpentry Advisory Committee, presented the flooring systems to Ken Salo, coordinator of the College’s Carpenter General program.

The pre-engineered floor systems will be used to demonstrate installation methods and will provide hands-on learning opportunities for students in the program.
