German Students Experience Cambrian’s Hospitality
Feature
October 2006
Six students and a teacher from Oberbarnimschule, a private postsecondary school near Berlin, Germany, spent 10 days in Sudbury exploring careers in the hospitality industry and finding out about life in northern Ontario. Four of the students were billeted with students in Cambrian’s hospitality program.
As part of their visit, the Oberbarnimschule students attended classroom lectures and took part in practical sessions along with students in the College’s hospitality and travel and tourism programs. They also participated in an outdoor event hosted by the College’s Nature-based Adventure Tourism students, met the College President, and took in the sights and sounds of Sudbury.
