The Glenn Crombie Centre for disability services hosted a transition day for Grade 12 students with disabilities from the Rainbow and Sudbury District Catholic School Boards on Friday, April 4, 2008. The event was designed to provide students who are intending to go on to postsecondary studies next year with information to help them make choices about support services available to them while attending postsecondary.
Forty-two students, along with educators, participated in the day's activities, which included an overview of accommodations and services available at all of Ontario's postsecondary institutions, a demonstration of assistive technology, and a look at the differences between college and secondary school, among other activities.
