December 2006

Mike Nordby and Randy Sauve, third-year students in Cambrian Physical Fitness and Leisure Management program, will be cycling across Canada starting in April to raise money for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Sudbury and, through a series of events, to promote healthy, active lifestyles and the importance of physical activity.

They will begin their trip in Sudbury and will cycle to the east coast. At St. John's, Newfoundland, they will board a plane for Whitehorse and cycle back to Sudbury, a journey that will take approximately four months.

"The cross-Canada bike journey will fulfill a dream that I have had for a long time," said Mike. "It will also fit well with the aspirations that come from being graduates of the Physical Fitness and Leisure Management program."
