Second year students in the Police Foundations program at Cambrian College were trained as certified Child Restraint System technicians by members of the Sudbury & District Health Unit and Greater Sudbury Police Services on October 23 and 25.
Students were taught how to inspect installed child car seats for proper installation, correct any errors in the installation, and educate people on the correct use of child restraints in vehicles. Cambrian is the first college in Ontario to offer training for this three-year St. John Ambulance certification to Police Foundations students.
