On Wednesday, March 19, 2008, second year students from Cambrian's Police Foundations program were at Boston Pizza greeting and serving customers to help raise funds for the 2008 Special Olympics. Five per cent of Boston Pizza's sales that evening went toward the student's fundraising effort. Police Foundations students were also at the RioCan Centre on Saturday, March 22 to help officers from the Greater Sudbury Police Service and Special Olympians collect money for the Special Olympics.
