George Smitherman, Deputy Premier and Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, visited Cambrian College on May 8 to meet with Cambrian students and staff and to discuss the proposed Green Energy Act. While at the College, he also toured the Sustainable Technology lab and got a first-hand look at some of the initiatives that will position Cambrian as a leader in renewable energy research and education.
“The provincial government's Green Energy Act is aimed at creating an investment climate that will enable projects to come to life and fostering a culture of conservation. We are keen to work with Cambrian College to bring these opportunities forward - opportunities that will support job creation and economic growth.”
