Todd Cunningham, a motivational speaker and Ph.D. student and researcher from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education, was a guest speaker at Cambrian College on
August 29, 2006. Todd discussed strategies for students with learning disabilities and the potential of assistive technology. During the session, he told the audience that he has struggled with dyslexia from birth, but that he has learned to accommodate his learning disability with the use of assistive technology. His presentation provided a personal life prospective on how assistive technology can help someone with a disability thrive.
The event, which was organized by The Glen Crombie Centre, was attended by new, current, and Summer Institute Cambrian students, as well as Cambrian staff and guests.
