To pick up and negotiate your loan you will need:
- Your Student Registration Form (SRF). If you did not register online.
- Your Social Insurance Number Card.
- Valid government photo identification (e.g. driver's license, age of majority card)
- A 'void' cheque. The National Student Loan Service Centre (NSLSC) needs your banking information in order to deposit loan funds into your bank account.
Step 3. Negotiate (Cash) your loan documents with a NSLSC representative on-campus or at a designated Canada Post location.
For your convenience, the National Student Loan Service Centre (NSLSC) will have a temporary location on campus during the first couple of weeks of the semester so that you can negotiate your loan. If you are unable to negotiate your loan at the on-campus location during these first few weeks, you may go to a designated Canada Post outlet and negotiate your loan(s)
The NSLSC/Canada Post representatives will:
- Process your Canada and/or Ontario student loan documents.
- Arrange for your loan funds to be deposited into your bank account or to have a cheque mailed to you.
