The Cambrian College Criminal Justice Association, or CCCJA as it is known, is an organization that is associated with the College’s Justice programs. The CCCJA provides students with an opportunity to gain leadership and practical skills through volunteer activities. It is also a great way for students in the Justice programs to promote their program and the Association, and to have some fun.
What do students do as members of the CCCJA?
Students in the CCCJA participate in and organize volunteer opportunities for all types of community events in the Sudbury area. As a member of the CCCJA, students are involved in the school and the community, they develop a résumé, gain leadership skills, develop community contacts, and meet plenty of new people. Volunteer opportunities are posted on a regular basis and are available to all students who are members of the CCCJA. Some of the events that students in the CCCJA have participated in have included: Devils Night and Halloween Night watch, the Sudbury Santa Claus Parade, the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay, hockey and volleyball tournaments, Cecil Facer recreation nights, and many more.
